An RSS feed (or news feed) is a means by which you can stay informed about what's going on at Jefferson Choral Society without having to regularly visit the website.
To make use of an RSS feed, you need some "feed reader" (or "aggregator") software. Most modern web browsers have feed readers built in.

Membership in the Jefferson Choral Society is open to anyone high school age and up with experience in choral music. New singers are always welcome, and we invite you to attend the next open rehearsal. Please be sure to let us know you plan to attend by emailing vicepresident@jeffersonchoralsociety.org .
Our 2023-2024 season runs through Memorial Day weekend of May 2024. Auditions for the season are scheduled by attending an open rehearsal.
OPEN REHEARSALS
When: 6:45 pm, September 11, 2023, December 4, 2023, or February 26, 2024. Rehearsal is from 7 to 9 pm.
Where:Starting December 4, rehearsals will be held at Forest Presbyterian Church on Monday evenings from 7:00 until 9:00 pm in the sanctuary. Forest Presbyterian Church is located at 1226 Two Church Ln. Forest, VA 24551, and is between Forest Baptist Church and Forest Public Library. See map below.
Welcome: A member of the choir will meet you at the doors and shepherd you through the check-in process for new singers. Then a veteran singer will warmly welcome you and show you to a seat in your chosen vocal section.
Paperwork: You will be given several forms to fill out, or if you prefer, you may print and complete the forms emailed to you prior to the rehearsal and bring them with you.
Music: You will receive a packet of music to use for the evening. Please return the music before ytou leave if you decide not to sing with us.
Auditions: If you enjoy the rehearsal and would like to pursue membership, you may speak to Music Director Aaron Garber or President Martha Coffey during our rehearsal break, which is usually around 8:00. A brief audition will be scheduled either immediately following the rehearsal or right before the next rehearsal. During your private audition Aaron will ask you to sing a hymn while he accompanies you, allowing him to place you in the correct section.
