The Jefferson Choral Society (JCS) is a 90-voice regional chorus that performs choral works from all periods and many genres. Its Music Director is Aaron Garber. Jefferson Choral Society’s annual concert season consists of three major concerts performed in Central Virginia theatres and churches. For the past nine years the chorus has also been the featured group in Moonlight Serenade, an annual benefit concert held at the National D-Day Memorial in May.

Jefferson Choral Society celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2009-2010. The chorus has toured in Europe five times, and has also toured in the United States and Canada.

Jefferson Youth Chorale is a free choral singing program for youth 8 to 18 from the Greater Lynchburg Area. The Chorale is directed by Peggy Haas Howell and performs concerts annually with JCS. The JYC also conducted summer programs at Camp Timothy and Jubilee Family Development Center and has sung for Hillcats games and as guest artists with Cantate.
